Right click on SCSI Controller, and select Update Driver On the window titled: Update Drivers, select Browse my computer for driver software Select the folder containing the driver you downloaded (Figure 3) Windows should ask you if you want to install the unsigned driver (Figure 4), select install this driver software anyway.

- Click on the Driver tab. Click on the Update Driver button. Continue at step 9 below. Ignore the manual that comes with the Tekram card. This manual has not been updated to include the latest driver and Operating System revisions. Make sure you find the driver CD-ROM that come with the Tekram card and keep it at hand. Turn OFF the computer.

website -- mine has an LSI
chip and is supported by all
versions of Windoze from
Win2K forward. I didn't know
they had an AMD-based version
of that card, but I do know
that Windoze does support atleast one older AMD SCSI chip
-- the one in the old QLogic
'Fast SCSI' 50-pin cards.
In your spot, I'd probably
just ditch the scanner and
get a modern USB model -- I
still use my HP ScanJet 4P,
but that's only because my
box already had an available
SCSI port.

Thanks but the problem is that I'm in Australia, so the postage
